Teenie Weenies by William Donahey (1420-) 1st Appearance June 14, 1914 -  The Teenie Weenies was a fanciful strip created by William Donahey.   The stars of the strip was a large and varied group of fairy-sized people who lived in the woods.  Their adventures were told via text without word balloons and those adventures were very 'G' rated.  As newspaper comics moved into the era of the Paper Doll,  the strips were modified to include a cut-out for many decades.   The strip has quite a few eras of publication.  The earliest versions from the 1910's can usually be found in the magazine section of the newspaper.   For a brief few years in the 1920s the strip could be found in the weekly comic section as Fulls or Tabs.   In the 1930s, the strip was revived again in the sunday comics as Tabs or smaller.   Finally in the 1940s the strip was again brought back,  this time for its longest continuous run into the late 1960s.  The market for Teenie Weenies varies by the era.  The 1910s and 1920 versions sustain a fairly good market.   The market for the later versions has cooled significantly over the years.(606)
