How Do you read this???  What do these codes mean???  A full listing of codes is on the bottom of this page.  Here's two specific examples of Sunday Comics:

Example #1:

0180-0190 1942/03/01 - F VG/G/VG $10.00 w/Maw Green, on reverse BW Mickey Mouse(F)

The first box is the item-number for this lot - please refer to that when ordering.  The second box indicates the date, number of strips, and sizes of strips in this lot (this lot is a single page).  This page is from March 1, 1942 and is F=Full-Size (approximately 22" x 14") and Full-Color(the default).  The conditions: VG/G/VG mean that the overall quality is very good/paper quality is good/print quality is very good.  The notes: w/Maw Green, means there is a small Maw Green trailer strip also on this page.   On reverse BW Mickey Mouse(F), means that the reverse side of this page is a Black and White, Full-size Mickey Mouse page.

Example #2:

The first box is the item-number for this lot - please refer to that when ordering.  The second box indicates the date, number of strips, and sizes of strips in this lot (this is a multi-strip lot).  This lot contains 8 strips all from 1954, 1 is T=Tabloid Size(14" x 11"), 7 are H=Half-Page Size(11" x 14").  The conditions: G/VG/G mean that the overall quality is good/paper quality is very good/print quality is good.  The notes: On reverse...means that there are 4 Third-size full-color Abbie 'n Slats strips on the reverse of these.

The first box is the item-number for this lot - please refer to that when ordering.  The second box indicates the date, number of strips in this lot (this is a lot of 26 strips from April 1935).  The third box indicates the size of the strips, these are 6C (6 - Column).  The notes: (1 is Damaged) means that one of the 26 strips has extraordinary damage.

Glossary of codes:

All Strips are Full-color unless noted otherwise!

Grades quoted as (Overall/Paper Quality/Print Quality) - Lot items grades quoted are averages for the lot.

Excellent-White or Offwhite, creases completely flattened and virtually undetectable.

Excellent-Super, Vibrant and Clear

Very Good-Highly Collectible, great readability all margins intact.  Readability excellent.

Very Good-Supple Antique White, may have  detectable non-dirty creases and 'invisible' margin-only tears.

Very Good-Moderately Vibrant and Clear

G

Good-Average aging page, wear does not impair readability.

G

Good-Supple, Light Tanning or lightly dirty crease. Can have margin tears or binder holes and a minor 'invisible' tear in centercrease or touching panels.

Fair-Fragile, yet Whole and Readable.
